WARRANTY

 
The Luggage Warranty herein is binding between:

 

 TRAVELLER OF THE FUTURE CORPORATION (the “COMPANY”)
 -and-
 The first/original purchaser of the luggage (the “OWNER”)

 

 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

 

 

I. TEN (10) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

A. Coverage

 This limited warranty shall be for luggage manufactured by Traveller of the Future Corporation, and such limited warranty applies to original Gala branded luggage (“the luggage”) manufactured by Traveller of the Future Corporation and purchased directly from its online website at https://www.galatravel.co/

Original luggage purchased through unauthorized channels or fake/non-original luggage shall also not be covered by the limited warranty.

 The warranty may only be claimed by the owner of the luggage with the corresponding order invoice (requested for upon availment of warranty). This warranty is not transferable.

This limited warranty applies to defects or breakages in the following essential parts of any Gala luggage:

  • Wheels
  • Zippers
  • Plastic Handles
  • Telescopic Handles
  • TSA Locks
B. Exceptions to Warranty Coverage

Other forms of defects/occurrences not listed above shall not be covered by this warranty. These include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Scratches on the shell that develop from normal use
  • Cracks on the shell that are caused by improper use or mishandling
  • Tears on the inner fabric over time
  • Freebies that come with the luggage (power banks, bag tag, canvas laundry bag, polyester shoe bag)
  • Dropping the luggage from a height
  • Overstuffing the luggage beyond capacity
  • Dragging luggage up or down stairs
  • Exposure to chemicals
  • Using luggage for unintended purposes such as sitting on it
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures that might cause material damage 
C. Availment of Warranty Coverage

The owner shall be entitled to the following within the ten (10) year warranty period: 

  • Two (2) free repairs

Subsequent repairs, which are done after the two (2) free repairs under this limited warranty, shall be subject to additional repair fees, depending on the extent of the damage.

D. Responsibilities of the Owner

The owner shall be responsible for any related shipping fees, whether sending the luggage in for repair, or for the delivery of the luggage or spare parts from the repair shop of the company to his/her location.

It is recommended that the owner uses tracked and insured shipping methods to prevent loss or damage during transit.

The owner also understands that sending a luggage to the company to repair two separate parts shall count as two separate repairs. 

E. Warranty Assessment

The owner must email us a photo of their ID and order Invoice. The owner must provide photo and video proof of the breakage for approval before sending the luggage to the warehouse. Luggage must also still be within the limited warranty period.

The company shall than assess whether or not the luggage meets the qualifications for repair. The company shall notify the owner fifteen (15) days from the time photo and video proof was sent to the warehouse, whether or not the request for repair is approved.

 

II. FOURTEEN (14) DAY FREE REPLACEMENT POLICY

A. Coverage

This free replacement policy only applies to luggage in which the defect is evident. As such defect is evident, it is presumed that Luggage was never used before sending it back for replacement. Replacement Luggage shall be provided by Traveller of the Future Corporation. The replacement shall only be for product with equal retail value.

This replacement policy applies to any factory defects that are visible upon receiving a brand-new Gala luggage including:

  • Clearly visible cracks on the shell
  • Visible misalignments in the luggage’s stitching and general build
  • Defective essential parts (Wheels, Zippers, Plastic Handles, Telescopic Handles, TSA Lock)
  • Spelling mistakes on the personalized bag tag

B. Exceptions to the Replacement Policy

Other forms of defects not listed above shall not be covered by this replacement policy. This replacement policy shall not cover the following:

  • Luggages that are used can no longer be replaced
  • Uncentered initials on free personalized bag tags
  • Defects on freebies that come with the luggage (power banks, bag tag, canvas laundry bag, polyester shoe bag)
  • Change of color
C. Availment of Replacement Policy

The owner shall be entitled to the following within the fourteen (14) day replacement policy:  

  • A free replacement of the luggage ordered if a clear factory defect exists
  • Related shipping costs will be covered by Gala assuming a clear factory defect exists
  • Customers may be asked to cover shipping costs and additional handling fees if no major defects exist on the luggage being replaced.

 D. Responsibilities of the Owner

 The owner understands that the free replacement only applies to luggages with clear factory defects or cracks on the hardshell reported within 14 days from the date of delivery.

The owner shall be responsible for any related shipping fees, whether sending the luggage in for replacement, or for the delivery from the repair shop of the company to his/her location.

It is recommended that the owner uses tracked and insured shipping methods to prevent loss or damage during transit.

The owner further understands that only unused luggages are eligible for the free replacement within the stated policy period.

 

 E. Replacement Policy Assessment 

The owner must email us a photo of their ID and order Invoice. The owner must provide photo and video proof of the defect for approval before we send a replacement. Luggage must also still be within the replacement policy period.

The company shall than assess whether or not the luggage meets the qualifications for replacement. The company shall notify the owner fifteen (15) days from the time photo and video proof was sent to the warehouse, to inform the owner whether or not the request for replacement is approved.

There will be NO REPLACEMENT ALLOWED whatsoever solely due to CHANGE OF MIND. There shall also strictly be a NO RETURN policy.

 

III. EXTENDED LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Extended Limited Lifetime Warranty plans will be available for Php 4,000.00. Benefits of this Extended Limited Lifetime Warranty plans are: 

  • Priority Service (expedited repairs, priority customer support, and dedicated online chat)
  • Five (5) Additional repairs or One (1) Additional Luggage replacement

This Extended Limited Lifetime Warranty is considered a separate/additional purchase from the luggage.  As this is a separate purchase, such Extended Limited Lifetime warranty shall be non-transferable and only the first/original owner may be the one to take advantage of the Extended Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Repairs or replacements under the extended warranty will be subject to the same terms and conditions as the original ten (10) year limited warranty.

 

IV. LIABILITY LIMITATION

The Company’s total liability will not exceed the purchase price paid for the luggage giving rise to such liability.

The Company’s liability limitation does not include incidental or consequential damages.  The owner of the luggage shall be responsible/liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the luggage.

 

V. GOVERNING LAW and JURISDICTION/VENUE

This Luggage Warranty and any action related thereto will be governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

All disputes shall first go through the proper mediation/arbitration proceedings for the possible prompt resolution thereof. Should mediation/arbitration fail, the parties may opt to bring the dispute to the Courts.

The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for all disputes that company and owner may have, arising from this matter, will be the mediation/arbitration centers and/or Courts in Makati City, Philippines, to the exclusion of the other mediation/arbitration centers/ Courts.
